With over 27 years in the industry, El Banna has an in-depth understanding of all aspects of production, from creating and developing concepts to managing technical operations and coordinating with the content team. He has a proven track record of meeting deadlines, sourcing special locations for filming, and overseeing all aspects of filming from cameras to lighting and sound. With a solid experience in the international arena, ElBanna is always seeking to discover new talent and bring fresh ideas to the world. Together, Nash’at and El Banna make an unstoppable team, combining their expertise and passion to bring meaningful, intercultural narratives to audiences worldwide. They collaborate to identify and nurture new talent, helping them to execute their visions and bring their stories to the world. Ibrahim Nash’at is a creative force in Rolling Narratives, bringing fresh and thought-provoking narratives to the world of documentary films. With a background in journalism and a Master’s degree in documentary filmmaking from Met Film School, Nash’at has honed his craft through his work with international channels and online platforms such as Deutsche Welle, Al Jazeera, Business Insider, AJ+, and Voice of America. He co-edited Academy Award-nominated director Talal Derki’s latest film, Under the Sky Of Damascus which premiered at Panorama – BERLINALE 2023. As a filmmaker, Nash’at is dedicated to telling stories that cross borders and promote diversity, and his passion for storytelling is evident in each film he edits, produces, or directs. HOLLYWOODGATE is Ibrahim’s first feature film which premiered at Venice Film Festival. Close

Talal is a director, producer and writer. Born in Damascus of Kurdish descent, Derki studied film directing in Athens at Stavrako High Institute of Cinematographic Art and Television and graduated in 2003. He worked as an assistant director for feature films before he made his first feature documentary “Return to Homs” in 2013 that won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival. Thereafter he made “Of Fathers and Sons” that won the same award at Sundance and was Oscar nominated in 2019. With this film, he won the four most important German Film Awards in 2018 and 2019: SWR Documentary Film Prize, Munich Documentary Award, The Peace Bridge Award and Lola for Best Documentary. The last two films he produced premiered at Berlinale (“Under the Sky of Damascus”) and Venice film festival (“Hollywoodgate”) in 2023 and received several awards at international festivals. He has been a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars) since 2019. Abdullah Mostafa is an Egyptian documentary filmmaker and producer based in Berlin. With a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for human emotion, he has spent over 15 years crafting narratives that resonate with audiences worldwide. His work has been featured on platforms like Al Jazeera Documentary, AJ+, Deutsche Welle, Voice of America, Netflix, ENTR, and the United Nations. Abdullah believes in the power of documentaries to shed light on untold stories and challenge perspectives. He was part of "Hollywoodgate" (2023), which premiered at the Venice and Telluride Film Festivals and was shortlisted for the 2025 Oscars®. He produced "The Children Behind Zalaga" (2023), which premiered at the Film Festival della Lessinia in Italy, and won the FUTURE Award. He also directed and produced "Double Vision" (2016). Currently, Abdullah is directing his first feature documentary, "Song of the South", continuing his journey of bringing meaningful stories to life. Close
